Now to the good parts: The cherry red colors are vivid and shiny. The case does have a musty smell to it as it's been closed up for many years. The neck tilts upward somewhat and the action at the 12th fret is 3/16" The bridge is adjusted about as low as it can go but there is about 1/8" on top that could be filed down. There is an area on back of neck where the varnish is worn away and I don't know how that happened. These all look to be due to humidity issues and not from being dropped or hit. There are three cracks down right side of back near edge about 8"long.

The headstock has one small nick at the top(see pictures) The back of the neck has a couple dimples, but no chips. The trapeze tailpiece needs to be polished.

The pick guard has minor scratches, and there are some minor scratches on the body from being played. The mahogany neck is straight and the Maple sides and back are beautiful, as are the bindings on the neck and body! The frets have minimal wear, if any. The Sunburst finish on this guitar is amazing considering it's age. It has a trapeze tailpiece, elevated pick guard, adjustable bridge, dot fingerboard inlays, and Kluson tuners. The 1958 L-50 has a 16 inch wide body with"F" holes, rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and 8 pearloid trapezoid inlays. more of mine and was his first guitar that he bought new.
